Dear Char:
We are sorry we haven't written to you for a long time. But we have been very, very busy.
First we had to get over Peyton being attacked by that big Pit Bull. He had to have a lot of stitches and had to wear that funny thing on his head for weeks.
Then we went to Training class for 8 weeeks. The teacher said we were the smartest and most handsome ones in the class. That was really exciting until we looked around the room. There were only 6 of us in the class. One was a Jack Russell that had a real dumb owner. The teacher gave him a bag of treats to teach Jack to "leave it" and instead of taking the treats out of the bag and making him "leave it", he threw the whole unopened bag on the floor and said "leave it" Duh. Then we had Sadie, a pit bull-lab cross that had never been out of her yard except when she escaped. Then there was Max, we don't know what he was except dumb and ugly. There was the little one that had to lay on a soft pad and keep saying Si Senor. So we guess we were the smartest and most handsome. Anyway we got our certificate and we were happy that was over, except we heard Mom say we will be back for another class. Oh boy, but a dog has to do what a dog has to do.
Char, do you remember we had a tree with orange balls on it. Well, guess what, all the orange balls are gone and now it has little green balls on it. It sure is fun to bark at them and jump and try to pull them off. Dad yells at us when we bark a lot though. We just laugh at him.
