Vintage sewing patterns

I had a great surprise come by UPS yesterday. I had bought, sight unseen, 2 larges boxes of vintage sewing patterns from Janelle Elms of OSI Rocks Stars. It was one of those gut feelings...I think these will sell on eBay. I don't sell a lot of used items but I'm going to give these patterns a go. I know my scanner will be getting a workout from scanning the envelopes. Janelle said there were about 300 of them so I should have scanning them down to a science by pattern 299.

Since this is a new item for me to sell, I'm going to have to do what I advise all new eBay sellers to do: research! I need to look at listings to see how other sellers describe sewing patterns, what information they include, and what are the price ranges they sell for. The Needle Arts & Vintage Textiles discussion board should also be a good source of information. I am firm believer that knowledge is power and the more I know about how successful sellers market vintage patterns, the better I'll do in selling mine.
